How we started
A phonecall. A missed event. Some Karaoke. A dream.
In late 2025, an aspiring stand up comedian called Sunny, received a a call from a Riz Wahid of Dash music. Riz was on the hunt for a comedian to roast CEO’s at a charity golf tournament. Sunny thinks golf sucks, he is also anti establishment (he doesn’t know what that means, he googled it and it sounds cool), so it was a match made in heaven.
The stage was set. The thirteenth hole (unlucky for some), was the location. Sunny didn’t turn up. Mainly because Riz told him not to come. It was raining. In Dubai. What are the chances?
Fast forward a few months later and Sunny was hosting a karaoke brunch in Dubai, he met Riz and asked him if he’d like to sing a song. Riz did not sing a song, however they did both realise that they had exchanged messages about the golf event.
Riz liked Sunny, Sunny liked Riz.Sunny’s surname is MAsh, Riz’s business is called Dash, match made in heaven.
That was it. They realised that there was the opportunity to work together on more than just golf events for rich people. THe UAE needs comedy shows that pop. premium laughs and premium venues. Audience participation, productions with purpose, performers who are proud to represent the brand.
So a few weeks later, Callback Comedy was formed and now you are here, reading the story, and being part of the journey, and we could not be more charmed.

Sunny
Sunil Mashari (aka Mr Mash) is a British-born corporate powerhouse by day and a stand-up comedian by night, bringing a sharp, intelligent perspective to stages across the UAE and beyond. Based in Dubai, he has quickly established himself as a regular performer and host on the region’s leading comedy productions establishing himself as one of the UAE’s leading and most trusted comperes.
Known for his absurd observations and massive stage presence, Sunil delivers a style of comedy that is both polished and unpredictable and most importantly, full of energy. His crowd work is a particular highlight, quick, incisive and often savagely funny, leaving audiences reeling.

Riz
Riz Wahid moved from London to Dubai in 2015, after successfully delivering some of the largest transport projects across the UK and Middle East, After establishing his own Transport consultancy, Riz went back to his musical routes having DJ'd in his youth performing alongside renowned artists and established Dash Leisure a portfolio of companies, bringing together his extensive business expertise and creative interests,
Today, Riz leads several business which includes:
